Digital / Analog

Our working methodology often involves combinations of digital and manual processes. For a recent series of lamp prototypes, we 3D modeled the bending/forming dies on a manual tube bender for visualizing what would have been fairly difficult bends. A step-by-step instruction manual was created in 3D, streamlining the process and allowing for a high level of accuracy.

(finished products coming soon - see the some some process images as well as some teaser images of the final designs)

TIG cart

To supplement our Dynasty 200 DX, PATH designed/fabricated this cart to carry the TIG welder, the water cooling system, Argon tank, and filler rod. This TIG machine gives us the capabilities for high-end AC/DC TIG welding on a range of materials. The cart is made from a combination of stock sections and custom plasma-cut plate.

Grass(hoppy)

PATHfab

Recently PATH set up shop space in a great facility in Bayview. This will definitely allow for some new capabilities we haven’t had for quite a while. Look for new projects and prototypes to follow as well as some retroactive process/fabrication postings on a few small past projects. For now some images from the move in, and new equipment….
